Our September lunchtime lecture will feature a talk by Craig Williams, Erie Canal expert and Canal Society of New York State board member. Williams will discuss what life was like in Upstate New York when navigation first began on the waterway nearly two centuries ago. The region was sparsely populated during the Erie Canal's early year's, but it would soon undergo tremendous growth. Williams' talk will include a question and answer session.
