“Canals and Railroads” Reception Scheduled for Feb. 7, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Please join us for a special reception introducing our newest exhibit, Canals and Railroads, Collaboration and Competition, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7 at the Erie Canal Museum, 318 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse. This exhibit portrays the beginnings of New York’s Canal Era and its early railroads through educational panels produced by the ALCO Historical and Technical Society in Schenectady, artwork from the Museum’s collection and items from the collections of Richard Palmer and the Library of Congress. Refreshments will be served and the event will include speakers from ALCO and the Erie Canal Museum. The exhibit is in the second-floor gallery and will continue through April 30.
