Register now for a free teacher workshop offered by the Erie Canal Museum and the Central New York Council for the Social Studies. Participants will earn three CTLE hours, learn about the Erie Canal’s origins and impact on the United States, add lessons that will strengthen instruction of history and other subjects, tour the Erie Canal Museum and learn about the Ticket to Ride program that covers the cost of Museum field trips. Our presenters include Liverpool Central School District social studies teacher Martha Lawson and Erie Canal Museum staff members. We’ll have coffee and pastries, and you can find free parking in Museum-designated spots across the street under routes 81 and 690.
This workshop will be valuable for all grades levels, and we hope you’ll attend! To register, email email@example.com with your name, school district and the grade you teach. Please include an email you use during the summer and indicate if you are a Central New York Council for the Social Studies member. We hope to see you on Tuesday, August 8!
