“In the Footsteps of John Muir” Exhibit

May 25, 2018

Free

Beginning Friday, May 25, the Erie Canal Museum will display In the Footsteps of John Muir, an exhibit showcasing works by photographer Ken Paterson that are inspired by John Muir, an influential Scottish-American naturalist, author, and early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the United States. We are proud to host this exhibit, which was developed by Paterson with the support of the Scottish-American Foundation. The photographs will be on display in the Museum’s first-floor Link Gallery through September 4. The public is invited to a reception and talk on Wednesday, June 13 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Admission to the Museum and the reception are free with a suggested $5 donation. Free parking is available in Museum-designated spots in the lot across the street from the Museum, under routes 81 and 690.
