Locktender’s Gardening Series: Invasive Plants

September 4 @ 10:00 AM

Invasive Plants – where are they, what do they look like and how do they change the environment? Join Cornell Cooperative extension Master Gardener Doreen Todorov for this important discussion to help keep our Canal Corridor and state safe from dangerous pests. This program is part of the Erie Canal Museum’s effort to revitalize its Locktender’s Garden area and encourage people along the Canal to take up gardening in order to create a more beautiful and sustainable Canal Corridor.

This project is dependent upon the generous support from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor and the NYS Canal Corporation, along with support provided by Market NY through I LOVE NY, New York State’s Division of Tourism, as a part of the State’s Regional Economic Development Council initiative.
