Pathway of Resistance Walking Tour

June 18, 2022 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

$10

We are please to announce the return of the Pathway of Resistance walking tour, examining the African-American experience on and along the banks of the Erie Canal from the waterway’s beginning to contemporary times. While the legacies of slavery and systemic racism can be uncomfortable to discuss, it is crucial for these issues to be addressed and to understand how these legacies continue to impact our society today.

Space is limited, so please try to reserve a space in advance. Registration is free, but we have a $10 suggested donation.
The tour begins at the corner of Montgomery Street and Erie Boulevard East in downtown Syracuse, just outside the Museum garden. Free parking is available in the lot across from the Museum, under routes 81 and 690.

Pathway of Resistance walking tours are being offered Saturdays, June 18, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20, and September 3 all at 10:30 AM.

Note: We are unable to offer refunds for event reservations or donations. Please be sure you can attend prior to contributing. All event reservations/ticket sales/donations are final, unless the Museum cancels the event. Walking tours happen rain or shine. If we have to cancel a tour due to inclement weather, you can either move your reservation to another date or request a refund.

These events are made possible with support from Humanities New York.
