Virtual MOSTHistory Happy Hour: Water & Canal Systems

The Erie Canal Museum is talking water with the Museum of South Texas History during Virtual MOSTHistory Happy Hour on Tuesday, April 28.

Join both institutions on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. Eastern Time/6 p.m. Central Time with your phone, laptop, desktop–however you can–to learn and share your thoughts about water and canal systems in south Texas and Upstate New York. The online event is free and open to all.

Erie Canal Museum Educator Derrick Pratt will join MOSTHistory staff member René Ballesteros for an informative chat about the differences and similarities of the water and canal systems in these diverse parts of the country.

You can join the event by following the Museum of South Texas History on Facebook, or by joining our watch party at the time the event begins.

Open a can of beer, mix a cocktail, serve up a glass of wine, or sip on your favorite non-alcoholic drink and enjoy this virtual happy hour!

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Erie Canal Museum is closed to the public and all in-person programs and events are canceled or postponed until further notice. Until we open our doors, we are working hard to serve you through virtual events like this. We greatly appreciate your support as we face financial uncertainty. If you’d like to make a donation to the Museum, please click here.

The Erie Canal Museum is partially supported by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
