Virtual MOSTHistory Happy Hour: Celebrations & Milestones

April 21, 2020 @ 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Virtual MOSTHistory Happy Hour: Water & Canal Systems

The Erie Canal Museum is partnering with the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg, Texas, to present Virtual MOSTHistory Happy Hour on Tuesday, April 21.

Join both institutions on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. Eastern Time/6 p.m. Central Time with your phone, laptop, desktop–however you can–to celebrate, and discuss milestones of their respective 50th and 200th anniversaries.

This year, the Erie Canal Museum is celebrating 200 years of the first boat to make way to Syracuse, New York on the Erie Canal. MOSTHistory is celebrating 50 years of its doors opening to the community.

Erie Canal Museum Educator Derrick Pratt will join MOSTHistory for the happy hour. If your museum, cultural institution, or heritage site is reaching a milestone this year, be sure to join in with your thoughts and remembrances!

Open a can of beer, mix a cocktail, serve up a glass of wine, or sip on your favorite non-alcoholic drink and enjoy this virtual happy hour!

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Erie Canal Museum is closed to the public and all in-person programs and events are canceled or postponed until further notice. Until we open our doors, we are working hard to serve you through virtual events like this. We greatly appreciate your support as we face financial uncertainty. If you’d like to make a donation to the Museum, please click here.

The Erie Canal Museum is partially supported by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
