The Erie Canal Museum is proud to host a reception for its new exhibits, Hybrid Vigor: The History & Science of Mules, and Eugenijs Kaskin: Watercolors of the Oswego Canal, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. WednesdayFebruary 6 at the Museum, 318 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse. Hybrid Vigor uses images, original artifacts, and scientific and historical information to explain mules, the animals that pulled most of the barges on New York’s canals. Eugenijs Kaskin: Watercolors of the Oswego Canal showcases works by the late Oswego County painter showing man-made structures, natural features, and communities on the Oswego Canal. These beautiful paintings were loaned to us by the H. Lee White Maritime Museum in Oswego, New York. They will be on display through April 1. Hybrid Vigor will be on display through June 15.

Light refreshments will be served, and free parking is available in the lot across from the Museum under routes 81 and 690. For more information, email outreach@eriecanalmuseum.org or phone 315-471-0593, extension 15.

We hope you will join us for this enjoyable evening!
