Philip P. Arnold, professor of religion at Syracuse University, and Jake Edwards of the Onondaga Nation Council of Chiefs will present this talk, which is part of the Reflections on Erie's Waters statewide lecture series. They will discuss the important role of waterways in Haudenosaunee cosmology, and the Erie Canal's profound environmental effects and traumatic consequences on Haudenosaunee relationships to their lands.
